The skiing
Terrain and pistes
110km covers all ability levels well — about 20% easy, 50% medium, 30% difficult. The terrain is open and above the treeline, with long runs descending from the Veleta summit. The south-facing aspect means excellent sunshine but variable snow conditions by mid-afternoon. Early morning runs from the summit are fast and firm; spring afternoons produce excellent soft snow for carving. The resort is not technically demanding by Alpine standards but the altitude, sunshine, and uniqueness make it compelling.

Après-ski
The resort has some bars and restaurants but the real après experience is in Granada — one of Spain’s best cities for tapas (still largely free with drinks in this region). An evening in Granada after skiing is one of the most unusual ski holiday experiences possible.
